Cheshire County Courthouse Chalked with FIJA Messages
The Cheshire County Courthouse was chalked with FIJA messages last night by freekeene.com bloggers.
FIJA is the Fully Informed Jury Association, which seeks to tell jurors that they have a right to not only judge the facts of the case, but the law itself. Messages read "FIJA.org", "You can change the law", "Your conscience is above the law", "Juries can overrule judges", "Stand down, your honor. Citizens outrank you.", "Vote YOUR conscience, not THEIRS" "The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws."
The chalk was removed, presumably by government workers before juror arrival time at 8 am this morning.
