Now is not the time to give up!



Reflecting back on these exhilarating last few months, wouldn't it be great to be surrounded by liberty activists like those you met in your Ron Paul meet up groups? Wouldn't it be great to have worthwhile political causes to fight for alongside them and to win those fights? New Hampshire is the best place for a liberty lover to live freely and happily and make change. It's the best place for a person tired of feeling like a hopeless minority to feel like they're part of a close-knit, community of activists. New Hampshire is the best place for a liberty lover to win the fight for liberty.

A New Strategy for Liberty

What the Free State Project is... The Free State Project is an effort to recruit 20,000 liberty-loving people to move to New Hampshire. We are looking for neighborly, productive, tolerant folks from all walks of life, of all ages, creeds, and colors who agree to the political philosophy expressed in our Statement of Intent, that government exists at most to protect people's rights, and should neither provide for people nor punish themfor activities that interfere with no one else.

Making a Difference - Today!

If this exploratory committee doesn't go well, maybe I ought to consider moving here [New Hampshire] and running (in) a statewide race

Problem: Getting 5-10% in every state will never win an election. A fragmented liberty movement cannot win.

America was founded in liberty because its founders were self-selected freedom lovers who united in one place. This self-selected group was able to form a consensus on individual freedom. Liberty-lovers need to unite once more.

Join or Die

The Free State Project has the answer: unite and work together in one place. The place is New Hampshire, America's freest state and the state most amenable to pro-liberty activism. Over 500 of us are already here with another 500 pledged to move by the end of next year, and many more to follow.

The ways free staters are fighting for freedom are varied and include:
  • Delivering New Hampshire as one of Ron Paul's best primary showings in the country (Free Staters made a big impact in the primary. New Hampshire also delivered the most Ron Paul donations per capita in the contiguous United States).
  • Fighting and successfully killing Real ID in New Hampshire! (video here)
  • Getting elected (one already to the state house!)
  • Engaging in commerce with real money
  • Speaking to the legislature (while bearing arms!) and helping to write and pass legislation
  • Building without needing permits
  • Riding (by choice) without government mandated helmets and seat belts
  • Becoming the media by starting 2 local newspapers, 3 local TV shows, an internet daily news show, and a nationally syndicated radio show.
